Greetings! Welcome to my Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia shrine- or, really, an entire section of my site. This game is immensely important to me and I wanted to make an entire place dedicated to guides, information, dialogue, archival, official artwork and more.

What is Order of Ecclesia?

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is a metroidvania game for the Nintendo DS published in 2008. It's notable in that it was the last major entry in the original canon timeline, and the last mainline Castlevania game to be helmed by Koji Igarashi. It also has a unique hybrid style gameplay between the linearity and combat focus of older games in the series, and the exploration and narrative focus of the (at the time) more recent entries. That is to say, it's not a metroidvania in the truest sense, but rather a unique take on the genre. It's also the only canon Castlevania game to feature a woman as its sole protagonist, and it has a larger focus on story and dialogue than even other Metroidvanias in the series.

It's a bit unconventional and often overlooked, but it's been my favorite in the series since I first played it. Shanoa as a character means quite a lot to me.

Why did I create this?

Because the most widely used fan resource, the Castlevania wiki is affiliated with Fandom, a company that fills their sites with ads, commodifying, monopolizing and limiting fan expression. Furthermore, the Castlevania wiki contributes to fandom misinformation, bias, and incomplete or incorrect content- the mods have been made aware previously and refused to alter these aspects of their website.

Here I intend to create a large, alternative resource for players of Order of Ecclesia, with tutorials, explanations and more, as well as a section dedicated to my own analysis and readings of the text. I'll try to put in as much information as possible, and if there's anything you think I've forgotten or should add to the site, my contact page is here. My goal is to provide accurate and helpful information with all the warmth and personal touch of the fan-sites of old.

Don't forget to smile today!
