Greetings, and welcome to my territory.

I first created this shrine back in 2023, with a hastily written essay and a few silly graphics, grasping at something I had no idea how to truly explain was so important to me. It was a relatively surface-level take on why youth subculture latched so hard onto the symbolism of the wolf as their icon in the late 2000s deviantart days. Since that time, my own relationship to the wolf as a personal symbol- my identity as a werewolf- has further evolved, as has my writing ability.

Due to this, I decided to remake and expand the essay into a more cohesive whole. Furthermore, I found this to be a good opportunity to add some fun and informative new pages. I highly recommend reading the new and improved essay, first, and then dive into the supplementary material. In those new pages, you’ll learn about wolves in the wild, how to be a real life werewolf, recognize signs of lycanthropy, learn about historical werewolf folklore and their appearances in the cinema, and more. As a child, I used to love looking at old sites with information about werewolf spells and all sorts of mysterious things. This is my attempt to revive that web-tradition, and a love letter to wolves, werewolves, and everyone who’s ever looked into the eyes of a wolf and saw themselves.
